Boarding Houses

The School offers up to 208 boarding places, in houses organised according to gender and (unlike most schools with a boarding provision) according to age.

The Houses are:

WOODLANDS

MONTACUTE

COACH HOUSE

PARNHAM

MILL HOUSE

BARRINGTON (*see below)

LONGLEAT

RIVERSIDE

Our youngest boarders are accommodated at the recently renovated "Woodlands". Girls move from there to The Coach House and boys to "Montacute", one wing of the Manor House.

There are three further wings of the Manor House, two for girls (Parnham & Barrington) and one for boys (Longleat).

Upper School boys are in twin-bedded study-bedrooms at the recently built Riverside.

*Senior Girls have just moved out of Barrington into new accomodation in the outstanding Mill House.  Refurbishment of Barrington is scheduled for the summer as part of our ongoing improvements to boarding provision at Chilton Cantelo.

Each House has a non-teaching Houseparent, who is responsible to the Head of Boarding.
