The reporting and monitoring of pupils is constructive, targeted and positive. Target-setting is an inherent part of the subject in KS3 and is a fluid activity throughout these years. Target-setting in KS4 is less formalised, coming more through detailed marking than specific target-setting although this approach is under review.  Pupils in KS3 are rewarded with merits for achieving targets and working targets, and pupils’ success in achieving them feature prominently in school reports. Pupil surveys and self-assessments also feature as part of pupil feedback on their own progress.
