DATES FOR YOUR DIARY: SPRING TERM
Thursday 11th Feb 2010 – Parent’s lunch
We would like to establish a Parent’s lunch every half term. This would involve any Chilton parent (any year group, day or boarder) who would like to meet other parents and come along for a sociable lunch. It will be very casual and low key. We will go to pubs/restaurants/bistros etc. in the local area. You do not have to be able to come to all of them, come to as many or as few as you wish depending on what suits your diary. We will try to choose different days and different venues each time, with a reasonably priced menu from £5 to £10 or so for a main course.
Our first lunch will be held at the Half Moon Inn at Mudford on Thursday 11th Feb. A lovely country pub with an extensive but reasonably priced menu. Meet at midday at the pub.

Saturday 20th March 2010 – Coffee Morning
You are invited to coffee at school in the drawing room after morning drop off. (From 8.30am) This will be an informal occasion where you can meet up with other parents over a cup of coffee or tea. Open to any parent of any age pupil in the school.

Friday 18th June 2010 – Strawberry Tea
Following the tremendous success of last year’s Strawberry Tea, we have decided to make this an annual event. It will take place from 3.30pm until 5.30pm on the lawns in front of the main house. There will be a raffle and a donation from the profits made will be given to Breast Cancer Awareness. The remaining profits will go to the Committee to fund the friendship bench and other school projects.
This was a superb event last year (fingers crossed for the weather) so please so give us your tremendous support again this year.

Saturday 3rd July 2010 – Summer Fete
Last year we all enjoyed a superb Summer Fete that was organized in conjunction with the village of Chilton Cantelo in order to raise funds for the church tower. This year the fete will be entirely organized by the School Social Committee. Therefore profits will go to funding school projects with a donation to a charity of our choice. All offers of help will be gratefully received and raffle prizes and silent auction donations will be most welcome. Further details will be available at a later date, but for the meantime please make sure the date of the fete is in your diary! The CCSSC will be meeting regularly from now until July to plan the fete so if you have any suggestions or wish to help please do get in touch.
Anyone wishing to join the Social Committee would be most welcome. We usually meet a couple of times a month on a Friday morning straight after drop off. If you cannot make the meetings, your help at our events is always welcome. You may contact Jane Price at school via the website or by telephone:
